Frequently asked questions.
Stay curious, bold one.
1. What exactly is "Somatic" Leadership?
Think of it this way: Traditional leadership coaching upgrades your software (mindset, strategy, logic). Somatic Leadership upgrades your hardware (nervous system, capacity, presence). We don't just talk about what you think; we look at how your body handles the pressure of thinking it. It’s the difference between reading a book on mechanics and actually tuning the engine.
2. Is this just therapy for executives?
No. Therapy is primarily designed to heal the past. The Somatic Executive is designed to dominate the future. While we use psychological principles, our goal isn't just to make you "feel better"—it’s to make you perform better. We are interested in how your physiological state is impacting your P&L, your retention rates, and your ability to make high-stakes decisions without melting down.
3. I don’t have time for "wellness." Is this going to take forever?
If you think you don't have time, you are the perfect candidate. The feeling of "no time" is usually a symptom of a sympathetic nervous system stuck in overdrive. We aren't here to add 5 hours of meditation to your calendar. We are here to give you your time back by stopping the "urgency loops" that cause you to waste hours on reactive busy work. Regulation is the ultimate time management hack.
4. Is this going to be "woo-woo" spiritual stuff?
There are no crystals here. We operate on neuroscience, organizational psychology, and Polyvagal Theory. We deal in cortisol, heart rate variability, and biological safety. If you are looking for a spiritual guru, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a tactical advantage based on human biology, you’re in the right place.
5. My team is the problem, not me. Why do I need to do this?
Because you are the thermostat. In any hierarchy, the leader’s nervous system dictates the culture. If you are internally dysregulated (even if you think you’re hiding it), your team picks up on the threat signal and goes into self-preservation mode. You cannot demand a high-performance culture while broadcasting a low-level panic signal. You go first.
6. What is the ROI of a regulated nervous system?
Speed and precision. A dysregulated brain has tunnel vision; it makes binary, reactive choices. A regulated brain sees options, nuances, and long-term consequences. The ROI is the crisis you avoided because you were calm enough to spot it early. It’s the key employee who didn't quit because they felt safe under your leadership. It’s the deal you closed because you were the most grounded person in the room.
7. I’m interested. What is the first step?
We don't do cookie-cutter programs. We start with a Calibration Call. We assess where your leadership is "leaking" energy—whether it’s burnout, team conflict, or decision fatigue—and we build a protocol to fix it.
